Beta-glucan activates the most important immune cells in our body: the macrophages. These "scavenger cells" recognize organisms foreign to the body - such as bacteria, viruses, mutated cells, etc. - surround them and destroy them. Beta-glucan acts like a macrophage accelerator and thus triggers a chain reaction, as a result of which antibodies against foreign pathogens are formed to a high degree. In addition, beta glucan activates other cells of the immune system.

Scientists have isolated a highly active (1,3)-(1,6)-beta-D-glucan from a special yeast called Wellmune®. It is an all-natural, yeast-derived powder that greatly boosts the immune system.
