Allergy

In people with allergies, the immune system is overactive: it considers substances that are harmless in themselves to be dangerous. These allergy-triggering substances are called allergens. There are a variety of allergies, e.g. pollen, dust mite, animal hair or mould allergies. Skin and blood tests are used to make a reliable diagnosis.
