You can eat anything if you don't swallow it!

As a rule, women often eat more consciously than men. However, modern ideals of beauty or nutritional trends, which are conveyed in certain media but also through the social environment, influence the eating behavior of adult but increasingly of young women. Diets or one-sided nutrition are tried out at small or large intervals. With regard to nutrition for women, it is often suggested that body weight can be reduced by simply skipping meals or, for example, that vegan nutrition is the only true form of nutrition so as not to cause any eye-rolling in the community. This behavior is not only a breeding ground for the development of eating disorders, but also results in a nutrient deficiency and WOMEN run the risk of no longer supplying their bodies with sufficient nutrients.

Nutrition has a great influence on the organism of our body - whether male or female. That is why a healthy diet is the foundation for an energetic person as well as for physical and mental well-being. In a stressful family or professional life, nutrition can sometimes be neglected.

In addition, there are some phases of life and peculiarities of the female body that require a timely change in diet or at least a slight adjustment of eating habits. Being underweight as well as overweight has a negative influence on fertility, because it disturbs the oestrogen level. It is therefore better to make sure that the intake of all nutrients is sufficient.

On the one hand, it is scientifically proven that severe underweight is just as harmful as severe overweight. On the other hand, you can be thin but still have nutrient deficiencies - for example, due to an unhealthy diet.

The rule is very simple: if you are in a calorie deficit, you lose weight; if you are in a calorie overload, you gain weight. It is irrelevant when you consume these calories, because only the daily or weekly balance is decisive.

Desire for an active everyday life.

In special phases of life, such as pregnancy, but also in daily life (professional or illness-related stress), women need strong nerves and a lot of energy.  But even strong women who like to be outside and have many friends and interests get into a situation sooner than they think: between fun and joy of life, a feeling of exhaustion creeps in. An increased need for nutrients can be the cause.

Job, family, household - women are often exposed to multiple stresses that also cause them psychological strain. Stress increases the need for selenium. Breastfeeding women, for example, need an extra boost of this trace element. And selenium deficits can occur after one-sided diets or prolonged fasting. What many people don't know is that selenium deficiency can also lead to thyroid problems.

In addition, there are iodine and iron deficiencies, and very often a deficit of B vitamins, vitamin D, magnesium and zinc.

For women over the age of 40, B vitamins, vitamin C (especially against cellulite), vitamin D, vitamin E, calcium, omega-3 fatty acids (good for your hair and support against menstrual problems) and coenzyme Q10 as well as vitamin A (for eyes and vision) are important.

Women over 50 supplements wisely with iron, vitamin B6 (helps regulate hormone activity) and vitamin B12 (supports normal neuro function) as well as vitamin C (the "beauty vitamin" contributes to normal collagen formation for normal skin and bone function).
